I use my nutribullet for so many other things, things it isn’t really built for. Yorkshire’s is one of them. I don’t have a big fancy kitchen stocked full of mixers and gadgets, just a few appliances which suits me. Nothing sits in the cupboard unused.
Yorkshire puddings, if you are reading from outside of the UK, are arguably the best part of a roast dinner. If you’ve never tried them you are missing out, they are very inexpensive and very tasty!
Makes 6 yorkshires, small portions for minimal waste. Scale up as necessary, double, triple or even quadruple the amounts for 12, 18 or 24 Yorkshires. 24 might seem excessive but when we’re talking ‘Toad in the hole’, it’s not!
70g Plain Flour
100ml Semi Skimmed Milk
2 Medium Eggs
pinch salt
pinch dried basil
oil for cooking
add to nutribullet in this order:
Milk - eggs - flour - seasonings, otherwise the flour will stick to the bottom. Mix for 30 seconds, let it rest for a few minutes.
The oven needs to be really hot and these need to go in the oven around 10-15 minutes before you’re ready to serve the meal.
Pre-heat a muffin/cupcake pan of oil until it’s very hot.
Mix it again for about 10 seconds to get some air in the mixture & tip into the hot oiled muffin pan (please excuse the state of it, it’s old!)
Cook for 10-15 minutes until a knife comes out clean.
Ta-da! Yum.
